Screeze is up for some scheduled downtime starting at 12:01 AM EST on October 3rd. This is for maintenance and feature updates. The downtime is scheduled to last until 12:01 AM EST on October 4th.

Updates on Screeze progress and maybe some screenshots will be provided on the Screeze Blog during the downtime. If Screeze is accessed during the downtime, a link to the Blog will be given so that visitors may get the relevant information.

If there is a feature you would like added during the downtime, leave a comment and we will see what we can do.

Update:

Here is a display of one of the new Screeze features and how that feature looks as of 1:03 PM EST(look may end up changing before release). We’ll leave it up to you to figure out what it is.

We have updated Screeze with many improvements for compatibility and extensibility. The links for changing status updates, logging in via an external service, and connecting accounts to an external service have been changed to lightbox-like popups to save screen space, making the layout of Screeze work better for low-resolution visitors.

The member bars have been made IE compatible and so has the shoutbox(only tested in IE8). The external service features currently used only for Facebook have been prepared for other services as well.

The unused userblogs feature has been prepared for removal as well.

The profile page system has been updated recently to hopefully fix the random error messages for good. It has also been given a new feature. You are now able to choose a custom background color for your page.

You can see this in action on my profile page at http://screeze.com/afrothunder

Remember, you can access your profile page at http://screeze.com/YOURUSERNAME and it also works as your OpenID for sites that allow OpenID logins. Also, please remember that you must be logged into Screeze to have access to edit your page.

If you have any problems with the system, have ideas for more widgets to have on your profile page(or if your interested in making one), or if you have any other suggestions please leave a comment here.
